Pinus yunnanensis

Pinus yunnanensis, or Yunnan pine, grows naturally in southwestern China, particularly in Yunnan Province. The trees are mostly found in mountainous areas, on hillsides and at higher elevations. The climate here is generally milder than in northern China, where many other pine species grow.

Yunnan is a mountainous region with large forests and a wide variety of plant life. Pine trees are common throughout the area, and Pinus yunnanensis is one of the species that grows naturally there.

Yunnan pine nuts aren’t as well known in Europe as Siberian or Korean pine nuts. In terms of commercial size, they fall somewhere between Sibirica 950 and Pumila 2000, making them another option for buyers looking for a particular kernel size.

The kernels are supplied shelled and cleaned, ready to be used in food production. As with any pine nut variety, the choice depends on what you’re making and the size, appearance, flavour and specifications you need.

At Bio Group, we supply Pinus yunnanensis 1200 pine nut kernels from China to food manufacturers, wholesalers and distributors across Europe. Availability and product specifications can be confirmed for each shipment.
